Ramos-Chesnes Named SBA Person of the Year for Northern Ohio
As part of the annual observance of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration today recognized Sharlene Ramos-Chesnes as the SBA Northern Ohio District’s Small Business Person the Year. SBA District Director Gil Goldberg presented the honor to Ms. Ramos-Chesnes, Co-Owner and CEO of InterChez Logistics Systems, Inc.
“The SBA recognizes Ms. Ramos-Chesnes because her success has enriched the local economy.” said Mr. Goldberg. “Her entrepreneurial spirit has helped foster and create many good jobs, and she is a leader and innovator in her industry.”
InterChez is a full-service contract logistics and transportation management firm with specialization in domestic and international freight forwarding and document translations. The company offers engineered logistics solutions for manufacturers and supply chain partners that include all modes of domestic and international transportation, warehousing and supply chain management. The firm is a customs broker and its staff are international business experts.
Nominees for Small Business Person of the Year are selected based on the following criteria: staying power, growth in the number of employees, increase in sales or unit volume, current and past financial performance, innovativeness of product or service offered, response to adversity, and contributions to community-oriented projects.
